Dean of Students

The EKU Dean of Students Office houses the Dean of Students, Student Conduct and the Center for Student Accessibility.

Mission: The Dean of Students provides support for students to assist with their educational and personal growth by connecting them with resources, advocating for them, and helping them navigate situations that could impede their progress. 

The staff in the Office of the Dean of Students helps in the following circumstances:

• Supporting and advising students during a crisis or challenging situation.
• Guiding students to resources to assist them with their educational and personal development.
• Assisting families in navigating processes in urgent circumstances when their students cannot access the information.
• Notifying instructors of student absences due to a crisis or emergency. In these situations, students will have to meet with a member of the staff and may be asked to provide documentation. Notifications are sent to instructors to confirm, not excuse, reasons for absences. It is the student's responsibility to follow up with instructors regarding the instructor's policy for missing classes, assignments, etc.
